Home Reports

Since the inception of home reports in December 2008, we at apex have noted the increasing number of enquiries we have taken regarding repairs and renewals of their roofs prompted by the surveyors initial home reports thus, in turn, prompting clients to contact us in order for their category 2’s and 3’s to be remedied back to category 1 status.

This gave us the incentive to offer a prompt and informative service which was directed at clients who need a company that is familiar with the rudiments and processes of home reports.

We work closely with a particular team of chartered surveyors with whom we have built up a close relationship over a number of years through our experience of private and residential developments for the company, giving us valuable insight into home reports from different perspectives.

To the untrained eye, a roof or building may appear to be in fine condition, however, in the eyes of experienced roofers or surveyors the roof can tell a totally different story, which in the case of a surveyor can result in the roof, chimneys and external fabric being labeled as a category 2 or 3 which in-home report jargon means ‘repair or replacement requiring future attention’ and ‘urgent repairs or replacement are needed now respectively.
